Making Plant Medicine

If you have bundles, bags, and jars of dried herbs painstakingly collected and stored taking up various spaces in your house because you aren’t quite sure what to do with them, this class is for you!

Topics to be covered:

· Five primary steps of herbal processing.

· Three secondary steps of herbal processing.

· Four major herbal extraction procedures.

· The idea of synergy in herbal medicine.

· A reasonable list of some of the plants we may use, the parts to be used, and an overview of the key beneficial phytochemicals found in them.

· What is a menstruum and which one should be used for what purpose.

· Traditional and modern methods of extraction that you may actually be able to pull off in your kitchen!
